McCalley Funeral Home owner to retire; pass business on to Parrishes

On Oct. 4, the ownership of the business, including both locations, will officially transfer to Mark and John Parrish, who currently own and operate Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale.McCalley said that there is a combination of reasons that now is the right time to retire. One reason is that about a year ago, he was in a motorcycle accident that has made it hard for him to be on his feet for a whole day at a time like he needs to be.
